Description:
Tiny pinholes in vellum and Mylar form laborious yet barely-there drawings that have a tactile, brail-like character. The holes cluster together in raised topographies, spin off into loose abstractions and line up to form faint images of jewels, cravats, bonnets, antique dresses, floral patterns, shells and feathers. Sculptures made from drawings on plastic and paper are also included. This project revisits childhood memories and their associations with the fragmented, the fragile, the bizarre and a sense of awe.
